Self-proclaimed, “high school sweethearts,” Neree and Sam have been a couple for 11 years and organised their wedding in seven weeks! Yes, seven! This coastal dream came together with the help of a long list of HM faves – from fashion leaders, Rue De Seine, Sphere Bridal Gallery and Forever Soles, to celebrant Holymatrimonty and photographer, Muse, so we can see why it was so epic. LITTLE LOL “I think that the whole idea of having our wedding in seven weeks was a funny idea. We came across Talm Beach House and fell in love with it so quickly enquired whether it was available for the Wednesday prior to the engagement party and when it was, we booked it straight in for our wedding. In typical Sam and Neree fashion, we did everything out of order, the least conventional and most difficult way!

THE VENUEWe wanted something that enabled us to be outdoors, had beautiful scenery and more intimate and could facilitate just the right amount of our loved ones to attend. We didn’t get time to visit Talm before the wedding but is more than what we could have imagined. It was absolutely perfect and even better in real life.”

THE INSPOOur wedding was inspired completely by my wonderful gown by Rue De Seine. With the boldness of the colours, I knew that I wanted to have my wedding switched from traditions and have all our guests and bridal party in white and neutral colours.”

FAVE DEETS “One of my favourite details of the day was how well selected and beautiful the florals [from Pushing Pansies] were. They were exactly how I envisioned them- the arbour and the bouquets. Morgan truly nailed the brief!”

THE DRESSMy dress was from the beautiful Rue De Seine. I fell in love with it well before I was engaged. I showed my parents and a couple of close friends who were saying that this was ‘literally me in a dress’. One night I was scrolling Instagram and saw a flash sale on a bridal boutique, Sphere Bridal Gallery. The dress was a few sizes too big for me, but I just thought that this was fate, I was meant to have this dress. So, on an impulse I bought the dress over Instagram!”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Decided to do the first look. I think that I would have been much more nervous walking down the aisle if I didn’t. Due to having only 30 guests, we had to be a little bit selfish with what we wanted but it worked out perfectly. We had to face some tough conversations surrounding loved ones and our guest list, but we decided to break away from the easy option of following along with a traditional way of doing things which ultimately was what made our day so special and exactly what we had always dreamed.

If you’re still on the hunt for some finishing touches, check out one of the funnest celebrants you’ll ever meet, Holymatrimonty, on our Directory and for any last-minute fashion finds, Forever Soles. But first…
