It’s super tricky to pick a favourite element of Nic & Odi’s wedding day, guys. The venue, Rupert on Rupert, provided the most stunning backdrop, the florals from Salt Flower are giving us life, the bride’s reception outfit is a bloody dream and the styling is next-level good. But all this didn’t just come together of its own accord. Nic shared her hot little tip with us, “Build a really great team of vendors around you with the intention of knowing that there will always be someone available to make decisions on the day if needed so that you ensure that you’ll be able to be present.” Hear, hear! THE VENUE “We wanted to find a venue that fit a quirky and laidback vibe. Rupert on Rupert is a stunning space on its own and we both loved the idea of keeping the ceremony and reception at the restaurant to create an intimate setting. We committed to Rupert before we could fly down to see it. We just knew! Every moment of the process couldn’t have been better. Mali and her team run both the warmest and the smoothest operation. Exactly what you need. ”

FAVE DEETS “There are so many individual components that came together so well! We were absolutely blown away with what Salt Flower created. It was a complete work of art! Tamasin was open to chatting over the phone and sent though her ideas in advance. Their work completely exceeded expectations. Some of our favourite memories in the lead-up were shared chatting and laughing with our celebrant Precious during our preparation meetings. We felt as if we found one of ‘our people’.”

THE DRESS “My mum and I booked a consult at Kyha to begin the process of looking for a dress. However, as soon as I tried the Chosen by Kyha dress on, I knew it was the one for me and that I didn’t need to look anywhere else. The dress itself morphed into something even more elegant after the tailoring process with Tamara from My Private Tailor. After dinner I got changed into a pair of glam crepe flares from Karen Millen and a feather jacket from Bubish Luxe to take me from reception to after party.

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Hands down the most special moment for both of us was doing a first look in the airbnb where we were staying and Nic had gotten ready. We had both assumed that our first look could be a slightly awkward moment because it would be captured on film, but we both found ourselves immediately shedding tears and speechless. It will is a moment that neither of us will forget, and we’re so glad we had a special moment shared alone. ”

WE’RE REALLY GLAD WE… “Chose to arrive in ways that were meaningful to us. Odi sourced cafe racer motorcycles for his best man, father, siblings and himself to make a grand entrance. I arrived with my brother, Dad and other best man in my ‘something blue’ for the day – my dad’s vintage 1962 Valiant called ‘Val’. Both connected us to our best men and family.”

STANDOUT VENDOR “Our photographer Elsa Campbell effortlessly captured the most important moments of our day. Her calming presence allowed us to feel at ease, and we are pinching ourselves at the photo reveal. And our celebrant Precious played an absolutely integral role to landing the day. From the lead-up, to the day itself, we cannot imagine any aspect without her presence.”
