Throwback Thursday is upon us, and today we’ve got an absolute killer wedding to share from our print archives. Idyllic doesn’t even cut it, people. Nina and Seb’s springtime soiree from our Real Wedding Special 2021 was straight-up sublime. We’re talking trestle tables draped with linen amongst a lush birch tree forest, pastel tableware in abundance, festoon lighting and even a wandering peacock. All this while being serenaded by the tunes of Baker Boys Band, with the bride and groom looking stunning in Mariana Hardwick and M.J. Bale. REFERENCES “I looked A LOT on Instagram for ideas and inspiration and found many of our key vendors through there. Of course, I also read Hello May religiously during the entire planning process which helped a lot with inspiration. Seb and I wanted to work with many local small businesses so our friends were also great at recommending these.”
DIY “Seb and I are both very DIY people and we had a lot of fun creating some things for the wedding. Seb designed the invites (while I overlooked haha), I painted our signs and put together our candles for our party favours.”
MARRIAGE MEANS… “That we have found the person we can’t live without, and the person we can be our completely weird and wonderful selves with, whether that be lying on the couch watching a movie or going on an adventure. Marriage means that Seb will always have someone legally obliged to laugh at his daggy jokes, and I’ll always have someone to make me a delicious coffee.”
STANDOUT VENDOR “Alissa from Franklin and the Bean was absolutely incredible. She helped us with our venue, set up and pack down. She was so supportive AND awesome so we couldn’t thank her enough.”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “The night before and night of, the entire bridal party hired out accommodation close to the venue location. It was so much fun to all be together, get ready and take photos.”
