This cool couple met 12 years ago and tied the knot in a glorious garden wedding at Phoebe’s family home – and we have all the pics and info you need to draw inspiration from. “It is such a special place for both of us, as it is where we spent majority of our time together, particularly in the early stages of our relationship,” the couple shared. Engaged for 11 months, Phoebe and Kieran became Mr & Mrs in front of 60 of their favourite people, which was perfect for them as they say “it meant that we could actually spend time and say hello to everyone we invited.” Jessica Clark was the lens lady responsible for the gorgeous captures, so scroll down for all…

THE VIBE “We wanted our wedding to feel like our quests were just going over to Mum and Dad’s house for dinner. Our main focus was on good food (hence, Andre’s Catering Co), wine and music. We wanted it to feel a bit more on the informal side so that our guests felt at home too.”

THE DRESS  “I think I have a fear of change rooms, so I was pretty determined to avoid the whole dress shopping experience. My Mum actually started looking at wedding dresses online for me and came across the Peaches Smocked Dress by Needle and Thread London. I fell in love with it instantly! It was so comfortable, great to dance, didn’t need any alterations and fit the brief of the day.”

THE SUIT “Kieran knew that he wanted to wear something that was a little bit ‘out there’ and was inspired by the suit jackets of the ’70s. He went to quite a few tailors in Adelaide, before coming across Oscar Hunt. Steven at Oscar Hunt listened to Kieran’s ideas and helped guide them towards something really awesome, whilst also providing an excellent array of whiskeys. The most entertaining moment for me was watching Kieran (who wears a Uniqlo  tee and jeans every single day) and Samm (his best man – think midwest-emo bricklayer) getting more and more interested in the various shades of green, the most complimentary style of collar and how long a pant needs to be.”

FAVE DEETS “We loved lots of the details from our day, particularly those that were made by people we love. Our signage on the Menus (which were made by my big brother) were really cool, as they depicted the spot in which we got married (on the steps of my parent’s house), and also showcased a very special member of our family who was unfortunately not able to attend on the day– Mod the cat).

STANDOUT VENDOR “Our photgrapher Jessica Clark was amazing and especially talented at wrangling family members and friends for group photos. She made us (both of whom are quite awkward in front of the camera) feel at ease. I had been following Jess on Instagram for a while and really loved how candid, colourful and fun her pictures were, so we had kind of based the date of our wedding around her availability.”

LITTLE LOL  “My dad came out in a pirate hat at one point. I have no context to add. He just came out in a pirate hat.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Get a wedding planner! We wished we did. Having someone there to help out with liaising and organising finer details might make the lead up to the wedding a little less stressful.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS “There were so many great moments – particularly the dance moves from the males on my side of the family. However, a really special moment was when we were both coming back from taking sunset photos with Jess, and walked back in to the party and just saw everyone we love, eating, laughing and listening to music together.”
