Welcome to throwback Thursday, friends! This week we have some solid gold to share with you – Rach and Joe’s intimate wedding in beautiful Berry, which originally featured in our 2021 Real Wedding Special. Keen to get hitched despite Covid ruining their big bash, these two opted to get it done with just 20 of their favourite people to witness. Joe’s favourite moment of the day was seeing Rach, stunning in Prea James Bridal, walking down the aisle: “It was the most amazing, beautiful scene I have ever witnessed,” he told us. Aww! Luckily for us, Tom Coburn caught this delight of a day on film for us to goggle over.
THE DRESS “I was and still am absolutely in love with my dress. I knew that I wanted something simple and fitted, but finding the Prea James Tyler Gown was like fate. It was the first dress, in the first shop and the moment I had it on I just knew. After trying that on at Hope X Page I still went to other showrooms but my mind was already made up. It was a real ‘when you know, you know’ moment. I felt so myself throughout the day and I honestly think the dress played a huge part in that.”
A WORD OF ADVICE…“Don’t be scared to tackle things on your own! Whether it’s trying your hand at floral arrangements for table settings, sewing your own napkins or setting up your own light arrangements, these things really personalise the whole experience and make it yours.”
DIY “Given the change from a big celebration to a small, intimate wedding, we really wanted to personalise as much as we could by doing the majority of the wedding ourselves. Rach has a great eye for design and right from the get-go, she had a pretty solid image in her mind of what the day would look like. We spent an early Saturday morning up at the Sydney Flower Markets buying a bunch of dried flowers which Rach used to make all floral arrangements. We borrowed Persian rugs from family and friends to make up our aisle, and we borrowed a family member’s PA system and microphone for music and speeches and curated a few different playlists to cover the different moods of the day.”

They are both amazing at what they do and they know exactly how to get good shots and capture the right moments. On top of that, they’re just such good dudes and so much fun to hang out with, which made the whole experience so easy, fun and produced absolutely beautiful shots.”
