Say a sweet hello to Annie and Blaise. Together for nine years after meeting through mutual friends at a party, the pair now run a food business together, “We make a pretty good team,” share the newylweds, who hosted a seriously chic celebration for 100 of their people, which kicked off at the Conservatory in Melbourne’s Fitzroy Gardens.

“Our wedding was a celebration of the life we’ve built together,”Annie told us. “The wedding date accidentally coincided with the week of our nine-year anniversary so it all felt very fitting.” The incredible Brown Paper Parcel  was on-hand to capture all the good vibes. Scroll on down to see…

THE THEME “We remember being told that people don’t remember the place or how it looks, they remember the atmosphere. So we were really big on making sure there was lots of enjoyable food and plenty to drink, good music and a lot of dancing. We asked our guests to dress ‘with flair’ and everyone looked fabulous.”

FAVE DEETS “Blaise found a Lincoln Continental four-door convertible for hire with the driver on Marketplace a few days out from the wedding. This was such a fun addition to the day. Annie and her parents rode to the ceremony with the top down and wind in their hair. Ross the driver kept us in high spirits to and from the venue. Driving along Lygon St and through the city was very funny, with passers-by telling us to kiss and cheering as we drove past, still on a high from the ceremony.”

MEMORABLE MOMENT “Without a doubt, we both had such a fun time performing for our guests during the first dance. Blaise choreographed the moves and it was lots of fun practising in the lead up. On the night, right before we were about to start dancing I suddenly forgot the moves, to which Blaise said ‘follow my lead’. Luckily, the routine all came naturally once we got started and we didn’t forget a single move. It was a lot of fun letting our hair down and showing off a little.”

STANDOUT VENDOR “Our photographer Jess Tremp of Brown Paper Parcel was the first thing we booked actually, after loving the look of her candid and relaxed style. Also our reception venue Bar Romantica – they let us stay at the venue as long as we wanted. We were able to enjoy the celebrations without the pressure of an end time. We ended up happily dancing until 3:30am when we decided it was probably time to wrap up.”
